Please note that in my games we use 2D10 for most rolls including skill rolls and saves. I chose this because it maintains simplicity and game speed while providing a nicer statistical distribution of results. Therefore the numbers presented may have to be altered for your game.

The main problem our group had with the Cyberpunk book system was that characters could throw on some common medium body armor and ignore a hail of 9 and 10mm bullets. This was resulting in unrealistic behavior and hurting role-playing. To remedy this we made two alterations.

GM’s NOTES

Trinity originally started out as an enemy in an old campaign I ran based on Queensryche’s Operation: Mindcrime. After that, it became a very vague, yet compelling, presence in my Cyberpunk universe. I’d dismissed it for several years, not thinking anything more of it until the Coke Madness game, which happened sometime in mid-1994.

Most of my ideas for Trinity came from events in the news, including Jim Baker and the PTL. Lots of evangelical types added to my brainstorming. I mean, here you’ve got this completely screwed up society. Modern (ie, 90’s) Christians are thinking that it’s so bad now, the Rapture is coming any day. So what do these people do when things get worse? They can either turn away from faith, or they can grab onto it tighter, like a drowning man on one of those floating hot dogs. Background: In 2003 Jonathan Demark, the owner of a private east coast transport company called De-Haul saw that the world was lacking in a single company to transport cargo around the world. The managing of cargo had to be carried out by several small companies, so he formed TransCon. The corporation is dedicated to provide cargo transport efficiently and reliably. Symbol: The name ‘Physical Fix’ in bright red, thick block letters in a square form, bordered top and bottom by thin ‘go faster’ stripes.

Major Partners: Amanda Clayton, situated in L.A. with 51% controlling share. James ‘Jag’ Hound 15% Josie Coriolis 20%

Physical Fix is still a private company, run by the people who put up the money for its initial setup. Fix may do a public float in the next year or so, as business is booming. If so, the employees will be offered the first pick of the shares.

Physical Fix is a fledgling, yet rapidly growing bicycle courier company. With offices in Seattle, the L.A. Metroplex, Washington and Tokyo, they deal with old-school secure data. If the data is not sent via the Net, then nobody is able to intercept it via the net.

The courier boxes are specially made for the Fix riders. They are EMP-shield, biohazard capable, armored to 40SP and the option is available for a refrigerated version. Intimidation: More Than Quoting Dirty Harry

Ever been to Muscle Beach, watched some of the body builders pump iron and think to yourself, “I wouldn’t want to meet them in a dark alley”? That is intimidation by physical means. Intimidation has a lot of opportunities for use, but too few GM’s take this skill into account during their gaming. Players also seem to underestimate its abilities and benefits. Why waste bullets when you can just scare them away?First, intimidation on its own; intimidating people, not in a face-down situation (which is primarily looks and a contest of wills) is frequently misinterpretted. Think of bullys. They rule through their reputation and intimidation. Initimidation (skill), COOL (stat), BODY (stat), relative size (characteristic), and REP, this combination should be used for mass (as in multiple-person) intimidation. Physical size matters, because instinctually we feel inferior or submissive to something larger than ourselves. (Majority of people think twice when talking to someone significantly taller or larger than themselves, and remember, your characters are SUPPOSED to be people, too.)
