Blackhands Bruisers – a Cyberpunk 2020 gang

Author: Ghostlord <The_Ghost_Lord@hotmail.com> of The Cyberpunk Revolution (no link, the site is long gone…)
This Combat/Poser gang has been around for 2 years (amazingly). The members of this gang sculpt themselves to look as much like their image of Morgan Blackhand as possible. Most are border-line psychos who believe that by looking like their idol they will become their idol. Continue reading “Blackhands Bruisers – A Cyberpunk 2020 Gang”

187 – A Cyberpunk 2020 Gang

187

Author: Ghostlord <The_Ghost_Lord@hotmail.com> of The Cyberpunk Revolution (no link, the site is long gone…)

187 the California penal code for murder, and this gang takes their name seriously. Membership is gained by violently murdering someone very close to the initiate. Violence is a way of life for this gang, it is their mission. The highest ranking members of this gang are virtual serial killers and mass murders. The gang has been the target of the NCPD for years, but no cop has ever cracked it. Each member has a subdermal kill display, and numbers are closely monitored. The Triumvirate leadership of 187 consists of Gasey, Gein, and Dalhmer (all of which have 100-210 kills).

More Gangs for Cyberpunk 2020

New Gangs

Author: Mark <santaro@inwind.it>

The Rednecks

Tag: The Confederate flag with two rifles crossed on it.

Colors: Red handkerchief on their necks, sometimes jeans and cowboy hats.

Allied: no one.

Enemy: every gang like the Flying Dragons. They want to wipe out every stranger from their territories.

Cyberware: Usually some of them have Cop. for vehicles, and few have cyberlimbs.
Threat level: B

A large group of rude american guys, their chief is a man named Uncle Biff. They are rather peaceful if you don’t mess with them. This means avoiding to cross their territory without invitation and annoying them while they’re fighting their enemies. They have not powerful weapons, just shotguns, revolvers, carbines and few automatic rifles (mainly old weapons), besides molotov bombs. Instead they have good vehicles (trucks, motorcycles, pickups…), all with their simbol on it. In this Gang there are also few Solos (Biff’s bodyguards, with hats and coats, very good with revolvers) and some Poser (that look like Elvis), and they’re accepted and considered members.

Stats: Average Redneck.
INT 5 REF 7 TECH 6 COOL 7 ATTR 5 LUCK 6 MA 5 BOD 8 EMP 5
Awareness 3, Basic Tech 4, Rifles 6, Handguns 4, Streetwise 2, Driving Vehicles 5, Intimidate 3, Brawl 3.

Stats: Mountain Man (some are big and stupid).

The Throwbacks – A Cyberpunk 2020 Gang

The Throwbacks

Author: John (“Thud”) Gardner <ballpointpenguin@swbell.net>

This is an exotic gang that goes in for the “Neanderthal” and “Cro-Magnon” look, and pays for the biosculpt jobs that re-make their features so.

Their favored weapons include clubs and spears, and their cyberware tends to be pretty minimal – if there is any, it’s usually internal and not visible.

However, muscle graft jobs are often desirable, and their mode of dress usually involves artificial animal skins, although the higher-ups in the gang are either able to afford real skin or have gone out and caught their own (sometimes from the local zoo).

They are fond of doing the occasional intimidation of passersby for cash, and their tendency to behave according to the popular stereotypes of “cavemen” doesn’t improve their popularity with the locals (not to mention the police!).

Average Member: Int 5, Ref 8, Tech 2, CL 7, Attr 4, MA 7, Body 9, Luck 5, Emp 4

Skills: Melee 6, Athletics 5, Awareness 6, Intimidate 5, Strength Feat 3, Endurance 4, Hide/Evade 3, Shadow/Track 3, Wilderness Survival 2. Some of the gang higher-ups carry bows, having an Archery skill of 3. However, their bows tend to be crude hand-made models, and thus have a WA of -2.

Tokyo Streetnight Game – A Cyberpunk 2020 Adventure

IDEAS AND CONCEPTS FOR THE TOKYO STREETNIGHT GAME

a scenario (and extra) for Cyberpunk 2020 by Kristian de Valle (kdevalle@netlink.com.au)

[In the words of the author, “raw notes and the shambling semblance of a semi-long scenario.” Unpolished and straight from the factory, it is presented here in the hopes it may spark some ideas in fellow GM’s. At the bottom is A MacGuffin Called Agrippa, something more in tune with what you might consider a traditional scenario.]
Start simple. An event to kick everything off. A massive rave. Gotta bone up on my drugs. New Years Eve, 2022. The warehouse rave to beat all warehouse raves. Lights, lasers, neon, smoke, nitrous oxide, recreational drugs, scantily clad lads and ladies, smart drinks and killer drinks and love potions.
So what happens at the Rave? Who dies? Who lives? Who gets drugs planted on them? Who gets influenced by drugs? Have to check the motivations and climate of the underground Tokyo scene. Continue reading “Tokyo Streetnight Game – A Cyberpunk 2020 Adventure”

Too Many Medics – A Cyberpunk 2020 Adventure

Too Many Medics.

Author: MeXaL <mcrobertson@cix.compulink.co.uk>

Main medical services in San Francisco:
Trauma Team – Solid range of services aimed at those who expect trouble.
Valkyrie – Most expensive, but the best. Flat (high) rate for service.
Doc Wagon – Budget service up to Diamond, almost as good as Valkyrie.
New player – only been around 2-3 months –
Crash Cart. They offer a range of services, appearing to be attempting to be all things to all men. Their vehicles have a tendency to show up where there’s trouble, and attempt to if not actually poach business, pick up any remaining pieces. Then they bill you later.

The first inkling the players will have is when they are watching the Channel 32 show “Emergency Action” – this is a programme where one of the corporation’s medias, Rick O’Reilly, goes out with the emergency services and transmits back live pictures of what is going on. Today Rick is out with a Valkyrie Armoured Ambulance, high above the central business district of San Francisco cruising and waiting for a call. The Mafia Job Starter Kit – A Cyberpunk 2020 Campain

The Mafia Job Starter Kit

Author: Kristian de Valle (kris@cxa.com.au)

Situation: The Italian Mafia is looking at expanding their operations across to the City Center and the North, and down through the Arts District and the University. They seek to re-establish the old stranglehold that the Italian families held on much of N.C. They hire the characters on as a specialized ‘strike team’. This is deliberately ambiguous as the mob will use the edgers as anonymous hitters and errand boys and everything in between.

Much of the expansion will be light at first, such as protection rackets, drug dealings, black market gear of all sorts. Recruiting both manpower and prostitutes; they will also be into pimping and meat puppet rackets. They already have their fingers in a number of small Corp pies and have OS interests. They have a lot of goods tied up at the docks and marina warehouses. This ranges from luxury items to black market gear.

Gangs will be a problem; such as the Bozos, and especially the Voodoo boys, who will employ the black arts and ugly drugs to fuck around with anyone who threatens their turf. The Uni will be a no-go zone, and this will make it especially hard to catch any of the V-boys. Continue reading “The Mafia Job Starter Kit – A Cyberpunk 2020 Campain”
