I know that this might be heresy here, but in my roleplaying group we have a saying which crops up everytime the big corps do some especially evil stunt. It's "Shadowrun is coming closer"... Naturally that would also work with Cyberpunk for a lot of things. Yes, we like playing in that world, and it is damn interesting and exciting. But we don't really want to live in such an exciting world - we won't likely be the Shadowrunners or Cyberpunks, and we don't want to be them, because their expected livespan is so damn short ;) We just can't trust in a hope that we might be able to just create a new character and file the dead as a great experience :) Yes – it’s a darn uneasy feeling to have our (dark) roleplaying dreams come into the reality…
