Revolution postphoned: Laserprinters are to be distrusted!
No revolution without a pamphlet? That used to be true, but now its just the way to end a revolution really fast. Since cheap laser-printers are available to the masses, they hide their serial number (and maybe even more information) in a dot matrix they smuggle into your pamphlet. See for your self:
The next revolution will be internet based. Mr. Barack just showed us how its done. But don’t trust the hardware you bought with your own money. Your printer will rat you out. MS Windows will probably too. If you are an European or Australian, the government watches and records what website your visited, who your phoned, and where your mobile connected to a base station.
Sometimes I have the impression that our politicans don’t think Orwells 1984 was a warning but an handbook to a bright and shiny future.
Okay, I shut up and continue vomiting.

Yes – it’s a darn uneasy feeling to have our (dark) roleplaying dreams come into the reality…
I know that this might be heresy here, but in my roleplaying group we have a saying which crops up everytime the big corps do some especially evil stunt. It’s “Shadowrun is coming closer”…
Naturally that would also work with Cyberpunk for a lot of things.
Yes, we like playing in that world, and it is damn interesting and exciting. But we don’t really want to live in such an exciting world – we won’t likely be the Shadowrunners or Cyberpunks, and we don’t want to be them, because their expected livespan is so damn short
We just can’t trust in a hope that we might be able to just create a new character and file the dead as a great experience

Thanks for your comment. I guess the days of relative freedom from observation are over. At least in Europe. I wonder what changes in the US, now they have voted for Obama…
